to extract .CHR files and textures,
after extracting the texture to .bmp, you must flip the image vertically.
if you use paint shop pro, put the
NVIDIA DDS plugin (dds.8bi) in :
C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\PlugIns
C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 8\PlugIns
C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 9\PlugIns
to find the start offset faster,
search for these hex values using
Hex Workshop
